Inspired by the French sabre "Model 1829" the Napolen Champagne sabre was designed to have the right weight and balance. This makes the sabre easier to use.
The Model 1829 was used by Napoleons soldiers during the 1900th century.
This was the kind of sabre used for beheading Champagne after both victories and defeat.
